At Refactor Talent, our commitment to philanthropy is deeply rooted in our guiding motto, HOPE: Help One Person Every day. HOPE is reflected in our daily interactions with our clients, candidates, and team members as well as in our philanthropic efforts in the communities where we live and work. We believe that each individual can have a big impact and that each act of kindness can create a ripple effect to make the world a better place.
Our team members are not just passive supporters of philanthropy but active volunteers with personal ties to charitable organizations. We encourage our team members to take time off for volunteering and mandate two plus volunteer days are taken each year to allow them to do so. As a team, we research and identify reputable charities that are doing important work in the communities where we do business, and we make donations and provide other forms of support to these organizations. We built ‘HOPE in a bag’ for people without homes in Atlanta and distributed them to our neighbors in Atlanta for our inaugural event.
Visiting City of Refuge in Atlanta
At our last team event, Refactor Talent created baskets to donate to City of Refuge, a faith-based environment and beautiful campus that helps individuals and families transition out of crisis. City of Refuge is located in one of Atlanta’s most historic and struggling neighborhoods where 40% of residents live below the Federal Poverty Level. They provide free housing, food, clothing, healthcare, education, childcare and private school for kids, job training, financial literacy, job opportunities, affordable housing, community, and so much more. They provide housing for trafficked victims for up to two years to help them resolve trauma and provide training programs for those reentering society in cyber, auto mechanic, and restaurant ops. Refactor Talent truly believes in Helping One Person Every day, and City of Refuge is such a worthy charity to be aligned to.
