At Refactor Talent, our remote team stays connected through daily video calls, including an 8:30 am Stand Up, and consistent communication between our Sourcing, Delivery, and Sales teams. However, our quarterly in-person gatherings provide invaluable benefits to our company morale, team collaboration, and continuous improvement of our business processes.
This quarter, Jarae Comstock, our Senior Client Partner based in Chicago, graciously hosted our team. Jarae’s dedication to people, inclusion, and her exceptional understanding of client needs were evident as she planned our Chicago retreat. From selecting the Moxy Hotel in Downtown Chicago to guiding us through a series of memorable experiences, Jarae ensured a seamless and meaningful visit.
Our itinerary included an Architectural Boat Tour, dinner at Tanta, Happy Hour at Industry Ales, and lunches at some of Jarae’s highly recommended spots. We also spent a productive day at the Magnificent Mile Conference Room at Nimbler-Spaces and capped off our trip with an unforgettable night at Soldier Field Stadium for the Rolling Stones’ Paint it Black tour.
These company gatherings are essential for refreshing our connections and deepening our understanding of each other’s strengths and challenges. Creative thinking and innovation thrive when we meet in person, allowing us to express ideas freely and collaborate on fresh approaches.
Our time together also reinforces our shared mission: H.O.P.E. – Help One Person Every day. We expanded on H.O.P.E. during our retreat, reminding ourselves that we are all Humble and Hungry, we Own Outcomes and Operate with integrity, we are Passionate about our Purpose, and we Expect Excellent Execution.
While remote work offers many benefits, it can sometimes lead to feelings of isolation and disconnection. Our quarterly gatherings celebrate our essential commonalities and strengthen our team spirit!
